Brooke Felt Counseling

Meet Brooke

Welcome! I’m glad you’re here. My name is Brooke Felt and I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in Georgia who provides therapy services to children, teens and adults.

Through my own lived experiences and passion for understanding people, I have learned the value of empathy and acceptance in the healing process. My therapeutic style is empathetic and relational, creating a space that fosters hope, acceptance and positive change.

Taking the step to start therapy, or even begin looking for a therapist, is one that takes courage.  I would feel honored to sit with you as you journey through the ebbs and flows of life.

Life is so often filled with challenges, hurt and judgment and it is my hope to offer a safe, healing space where you feel free to navigate tough feelings, thoughts and emotions. I believe that you, as the client, are the expert of your own life and my role is to be your supporter. I value understanding who you are in the context of your own environment and how that impacts your thoughts and behavior. My goal is to understand the big picture of who you are.

My style can be described as warm and relational, combining skills from different therapeutic modalities that fit best with each person’s unique experiences. I am passionate about working with people from all walks of life and understand the importance of meeting people where they are at. People are complex in nature and have multifaceted needs that deserve a multifaceted approach.

I have worked with healthcare organizations and first responders in the field of emergency preparedness; researched the effects of climate change and disasters on mental and physical health; provided therapy to children, teens and young adults; and developed and facilitated support groups for caregivers of children with disabilities. This range of experiences has provided me with a unique skill set to work with clients living with general mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, mood disorders, behavioral challenges, disasters, disordered eating and trauma.

My education includes a bachelors degree in Counseling Psychology from Toccoa Falls College and master’s degrees in Social Work and Public Health from the University of Georgia. I am currently working towards becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and am practicing under the supervision of Jenny Reynolds, LPC and Vance Sims, LCSW.

I am currently accepting clients!

Both in-person and virtual sessions are available, as well as non-traditional hours (after 5pm and weekend availability), to offer the most flexibility for busy schedules.
